Artwork Description
This artwork is part of a whimsical series celebrating Australian birds and native flowers from my region of Western Australia. It features a dramatically-coloured male Splendid Wren with Blue Lady Orchid flowers on on a coloured floral teacup.
The piece is created using professional watercolour and gouache paints on premium 300gsm Arches 100% cotton paper. This high-quality paper has a cold-pressed, lightly textured surface with a natural, creamy off-white tone and feels like a light card.
The artwork is sold unframed and will be securely shipped in a rigid, flat mailer with reinforcement. It is ready for you to frame according to your preference, or you may choose a pre-framing option at checkout. For optimal longevity and presentation, watercolours are best displayed behind glass with a matboard.
The painting may have some small pieces of acid free tape or tape residue on the back from previous framing when this piece was exhibited as part of a solo show. This does not affect the front appearance or life of the painting in any way.
